Have you ever wished as a kid to have the chance of creating your own toys or that your drawings come to life? I sure did and I would love to be a child again just to participate at a really nice contest that is able to make these wishes come true.
IKEA announced the launch of its third annual
Soft Toy Drawing Competition, inviting children ages 12 and under to help create the next plush toy collection.

If you love this idea, your kids can share drawings of their imaginary friends, animals and different creatures until October 30, 2016, with the chance of turning them into real toys.
Last year, IKEA received more than 52,000 entries from around the globe and ten of the fantastic creatures became real toys in the limited-edition 2016 SAGOSKATT collection. If you live in the US, the collection will be available starting in mid-November 2016. For the rest of us, we just have to hope it will also be available in other countries.

The toys retail from $1 to $8 and for every soft toy, the IKEA Foundation will make a donation of $1 to projects around the world that support children's development and learning, sports and more.
Among last year's winners are a "bacteria that feeds on sugar and carbohydrates on our teeth" drawn by a five-year-old from Thaildand and a "horsasaurus" - that means a horse-dinosaur hybrid submitted by a nine-year-old from Indonesia.
