Easter 2016 decor trends: Pastel colors, bunnies and natural elements

Easter means much more than colored eggs, chicks and bunnies. But, let's face it, they will always be the most loved decoration elements in our homes and the children will always adore them. They add a natural touch and they are the symbols of the spring. Easter 2016 is no exception from the rule, but the dominant colors this season are rose and pale blue.

PASTEL COLORS

This year, be prepared to color the eggs and your house in pastel colors. This trend is highly influenced by Pantone colors of the year, which are Rose Quartz and Serenity. In each store you look, you will find rose, pale blue or green Easter decoration elements. From the egg paint to plates and vases, everything is pastel.

BUNNIES EVERYWHERE

Bunny-painted plates, plush bunnies, pillows with bunnies... they just invaded our space! But they are so cute, that almost everybody will love them. Just a request for you: do not buy real bunnies just for the Easter time or just because your kids ask you that. A plush bunny will be much more suited. Alive bunnies need a garden, a bunny partner and a lot of TLC.

EGGSHELLS

"Broken" egg-shells are a huge trend this year. You can find them as vases or egg-holders and made from all kind of materials. They are great for a plant decor, filled with spring flowers like daffodils, hyacinths or snowdrops.

NATURAL ELEMENTS - WOOD and MOSS

Wreaths and garlands made of wooden elements, moss and natural flowers. This year they are a must!
